Maxima Latvia intends to import Lithuanian milk

Maxima Latvia, operator of one of the largest retail trade centers in Latvia, has announced considering a possibility to start importing fresh milk from Lithuania, because it is 20-25% cheaper compared to that in Latvia.

The prices of dairy products in Latvia remain among the highest in Eastern Europe, therefore there is an intention to import fresh milk from Lithuania, agriculture business internet portal Mano Ukis writes.
