Estonian company Ou Uudisvoog buys Baltic media group BNS

Print versionThe international media group Alma Media has sold the Baltic news agency and media monitoring group Baltic News Service (BNS) to the Estonian company Ou Uudisvoog, Alma Media said, cites LETA.

The parties have agreed to the amount of the deal to the public.
Nevertheless, Alma Media says in a statement to the media that, after the deal is completed, Alma Media income in the first quarter of 2014 will increase EUR 0.8 million.
BNS group runs the BNS news agency offices in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, as well as media monitoring companies Mediaskopas, Mediju monitorings and ETA Uudistetalituse.
The BNS group turned over EUR 4.2 million in 2013, according to Alma Media statement.
The new owner of the BNS group, Ou Uudisvoog is part of the Estonian venture capital company Koha Capital Ou.
BNS was established in 1990, it was incorporated in Alma Media in 1998.
