Baltic Fish Export authorized to import into countries of Customs Union

Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) announced that Lithuanian company Baltic Fish Export has been authorized to import fish into the territory of the Customs Union, informs LETA/ELTA.

Recently established Lithuanian company UAB Baltic Fish Export from Kaunas District was authorized to supply fresh, chilled, frozen fish and canned fish, as well as provide storage services. Currently, there are a total of 53 fisheries processing entities in Lithuania, 14 of which are exporting their products to Russia.
The Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) announced that the authorization was approved after coordinating the decision with other countries of the Customs Union and taking into account assurance by Lithuania's State Food and Veterinary Service (VMVT) that the company meets all veterinary and sanitary requirements and norms.
