The companies and employees have already started their work in the free economic zones (FEZ) of Klaipeda and Kaunas; however, the newcomers of the FEZ of the other regions suffer from the lack of the managers and lack of the investors, informs LETA/ELTA, referring to Respublika.
The foreigners are deterred by the long processes of the settlement, by the facilities which are not finished yet and other handicaps.
Kaunas Free Economic Zone has already signed the contracts with 11 Lithuanian and foreign companies and plans to get more that LTL 1 billion (EUR 289 million) from the investments and to create about 2000 new workplaces in the FEZ.
Director of the Kaunas FEZ Vytautas Petruzis rejoiced at the investments which were attracted from the very beginning of the FEZ activities that reached LTL 1.2 billion (EUR 347 million).
