Lithuania's PM: wages for cultural personnel will be increased in 2014

On Tuesday Lithuania’s Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevicius confirmed that as of 2014 wages for cultural personnel and some law enforcement officials will be increased., reports LETA/ELTA.

"We plan to increase the salaries of those employees whose pay is currently relatively the lowest. These are cultural workers and some statutory officers working in the law enforcement", said Butkevicius on the national radio.

 

The PM says that wages will be increased not only next year; a three year pay rise programme is drafted.

 

"The rise is scheduled for the upcoming three years, for people to know how their salary will change not only in 2014 but also in 2015 and 2016", said the PM.
