Cocktails – most popular alcoholic beverages in Latvia in Q2

Alcoholic cocktail "Cesu Dzons" was the most popular alcoholic beverage in Latvia in the second quarter of 2012, whereas "Apinitis stiprais" by Aldaris was the most sought-after beer brand, according to the State Revenue Service's data on the sale of excised goods.

According to the Revenue Service's data, "Cesis Light" and "Aldaris gaisais" were second and third most popular beer brands, followed by "Aldaris Pilzenes", "Garais", "Vanaga stiprais", "Livu Pilzenes", "Apinitis", "Livu Rubenis", and "Lacplesis Dzintara" beer brands, informs LETA.

 

Cider "Fizz" was second most popular alcoholic beverage, whereas brandy "Bonaparte" was third, followed by alcoholic cocktail "Dzins", sparkling wine "Bosca", cider "Lucky Dog", vodka "3 graudu'', fortified wine ''Agdam'' and the cocktail "Black Balsam".

 

Most alcoholic beverages in the first six months of 2012 were produced or imported by Latvijas Balzams, Cesu alus, Liviko, Latalko and Altia Latvia.

 

Most beer was produced or imported by Aldaris, Cesu alus, Cido grupa, Agrofirma Tervete and Piebalgas alus.
