43% Lithuanian companies plan buying electricity on free market from 2013

Nearly every second small and medium scale company in Lithuania is planning to buy electricity on the free market from next year (43.1%) and a third of them (32%) are still considering this possibility.

The price is what determines choosing independent electricity suppliers – it is the most important criterion for 96.3% of businesses.
A business companies' poll conducted by the market research company RAIT for the electricity trading company Elektrum Lietuva showed that above half of those planning to chose an electricity supplier are medium scale companies with over 10 employees (52.8%) and those with an annual turnover reaching LTL 1-3 million (EUR 0.29-0.86 million) (53%).
