Estonian Werol is slipping to the Danish

A Danish company owned firm Baltic Agro has become the biggest creditor of the bankrupt Estonian rapeseed factory Werol as it has around 9.5 million euros of debt claims against Werol, LETA/Postimees Online reports.

Namely, Baltic Agro bought a DNB bank claims that helps the company to become the biggest creditor. This means that when the company's bankruptcy proceedings end, the Danish have the biggest chances of getting ownership of Werol.

 

Werol's auction with initial price of 8 million euros will take place on August 8.


Baltic Agro manager Ants Puusta said that the company definitely intends to participate at the bidding.

 

In addition to them, Tartu Mill, Oilseeds Trade and Finnish company Avena are interested in buying Werol.

 

Tartu county court declared the bankruptcy of the former flagship of businessman Rein Kilk's Pere concern, a part of which Werol was, on April 5. The first auction for the initial price of 10.4 million euros failed.
