Swedish knitwear enterprise Ivanhoe to move production from Estonia to Sweden

The company operated production in Estonia for almost two decades. The reason for changing the operation principle was to shorten both the series and lead times, writes LETA.
The Estonian market no longer remains the same as it was in 1992, when it furthered ideal conditions for Swedish textile makers. Initially, Ivanhoe invested in a plant in Haapsalu, Estonia along with some co-owners.
The family firm of Ivanhoe was founded in 1946 in Gällstad, a district know as Sweden's own knitting center, where tradition and pioneering spirits still live on, as the company's profile on its web-page says.
The company develops both base and functional garments from classic materials, such as wool and cotton, as well as new blends, treatments or knitting and weaving techniques.
Ivanhoe produces well-made, classic and hardwearing clothes for active people, clothes that will give you many long years of enjoyable use.
The enterprise was founded by Martin Göthager and is today owned and run by his three sons; Lars-Erik, Ulf & Göran Göthager.
