Ukio Bankas strengthens cooperation with Lithuanian farmers

According to the new agreement concluded between Ukio Bankas and LZUKT, information related to the business financial issues of the farmers will be easier accessible at the events, websites of Ukio Bankas and LZUKT and branches of both organizations in all Lithuania, writes LETA/ELTA.
According to Vitalija Cariova, Director of Ukio Bankas Marketing Department, the farmers of the country is a very important segment of the clients therefore the bank not only credits them, provides professional consultancies to them, but is also constantly looking for solutions for further well run farmers' business development contribution.
"Cooperation with LZUKT that has been developed for the second year enabled to strengthen relations with the farmers of Lithuania and to contribute to more effective management of their finance. We hope that the new solutions will be effective and the farmers will receive related information on their financial issues at the convenient places," – says Cariova.
Almost a year ago, Ukio Bankas and LZUKT have signed the first agreement where direct automated exchange of financial data between the bank and LZUKT was determined that simplified the loan administration.
"We constantly communicate with farmers of Lithuania and know very well what information is the most actual for them. Considering their needs, from now on, together with Ukio Bankas we will provide concentrated information seeking to encourage development of their business," – said Vytautas Vaznonis, Head of LZUKT Marketing unit.
New agreements concluded within 2011 at Ukio Bankas amounted to LTL 37.6 million (EUR 10.9 million) and exceeded amount of new agreements of 2010 by 46%. Ukio Bankas loan portfolio of Lithuanian farmers increased by 6% last year comparing to 2010.
LZUKT has the biggest farmers' advisory network in the country, a team of consultants of various specializations work in half a hundred offices providing services for 15 thousand farmers. LZUKT provides consultancies in the fields of agriculture, farming, economy, building projecting, engineering, farm accountancy, labour security, organises trainings for agriculturalists.
