EU rural life support in Estonia amounts to 127 mln euros in 2012

Estonian Agriculture Minister Helir-Valdor Seeder approved of the budget of rural life development support accompanying the European Union common agricultural policy, the volume of which is 127 million euros, LETA/National Broadcasting reports.

This is the sum of money that the Estonian Agricultural Registers and Information Board (ARIB) that mediates EU funds to Estonian agricultural producers, forestry and fisheries sector and rural life promoters, can allocate via applications rounds this year. Applications rounds will take place regarding 30 different rural life development support measures or sub-measures, said the agriculture ministry.

 

The minister also decided to increase financing of two agricultural investment supports that were declared last year: the volume of support for farming buildings investment measure was increased from 12.4 million by 4 million euros. The financing for developing micro-farming companies was increased by 2.7 million euros from 10.2 million euros.
