Riga Deputy Mayor Andris Ameriks informed LETA yesterday that the municipality will sever contractual ties with Otto Ltd. on management of "Latgalite" Market, as it has become a "haven for stolen goods."

"Still, the city needs a flea market, therefore the territory could be handed over to Riga Central Market," Ameriks said, emphasizing that the contract with Otto will not be renewed.
"It is quite apparent that the current superintendents are almost completely incapable of dealing with the situation," the vice mayor pointed out.
