Smits steps down as Latvian Federation of Food Enterprises council chairman; Sure elected

Print versionLatvian Federation of Food Enterprises Council Chairman Didzis Smits has resigned, and Aldaris CEO Inara Sure has been elected as the federation's new head.

Smits told Nozare.lv that he will continue to work on the federation's board, writes LETA. "I have made this decision and stepped down, since I have accomplished my main tasks," said Smits
The federation's new chairwoman in turn informed Nozare.lv that her priority will be to further bring order to business environment and make it more favorable towards local producers.
"Food industry is highly important for the state. The main priority is to bring order to the producers' work and business environment," said Sure.
