These excerpts have previously emerged publicly as recounted, but the program cited them in detail, informs LETA.
The Internet site "pietiek.com" also published the conversation last night.
The Corruption Prevention Bureau (CPB) has refused to comment whether the recorded material of, possibly, Ainars Slesers, are authentic and whether an investigation is opened due to the information leak.
"Taking into consideration the investigation interests in this criminal case, CPB acknowledges that any comments – attestation or denial – about the genuineness of the facts and their compliance with the investigation would simultaneously reveal the investigation's facts and possible offences, which could interfere with the interests of the investigation in its pretrial stage," CPB press representative Andris Vitenburgs pointed out to LETA.
He added that CPB privided information about the decisions made in this criminal case on May 26 and May 30. Currently, the pretrial investigation continues.
As reported, this past May Saeima voted down a request from CPB to authorize a search of Saeima Member Ainars Slesers' home.
On May 20 CPB opened a criminal case under suspicion of possible offences of several officials – on bribery, money laundering, misuse of power and other crimes.
As it is understood from CPB information, the case centers on the three so-called oligarchs – Ainars Slesers, Ventspils Mayor Aivars Lembergs, and Andris Skele.
