Estonian newspapers Õhtuleht and Linnaleht merge

Print versionAS SL Õhtuleht, which two months ago bought all shares of AS Linnaleht from Ekspress Grupp’s subsidiary Eesti Päevalehe AS, entered into a merger agreement, under which AS SL Õhtuleht and AS Linnaleht merge.

The acquiring company will continue its operations under the business name of AS SL Õhtuleht.
Ekspress Grupp has said that the planned merger won’t affect publishing the newspapers, LETA/National Broadcasting reports.
Ekspress Grupp became owner of 50% of Linnaleht via acquiring an additional shareholding in Eesti Päevaleht in March this year.
Linnaleht is a free of charge daily newspaper distributed in Tallinn, Tartu and Pärnu. In Tallinn, it also has a Russian language weekly version.
