Valeant Pharma acquires Sanitas

Sanitas, largest pharmaceutical company in Lithuania, has been acquired by Valeant Pharmaceuticals, a developer, manufacturer and marketer of a range of pharmaceutical products primarily in the areas of neurology, dermatology and branded generics, PBR writes on its website.

Previously, Valeant signed a deal to take over specialty pharmaceuticals company Sanitas for around EUR 314 million, informs LETA.

 

Sanitas has a range of branded generics product portfolio consisting of 390 products in nine countries throughout Central and Eastern Europe, primarily Lithuania, Poland and Russia.

 

The company has in-house development capabilities in dermatology, ophthalmology and hospital injectables and also a pipeline of internally developed and acquired dossiers.
