EU to allocate 700,000 euros to Estonia under food aid plan

Print versionThe European Commission announced that 700,000 euros are planned to be used by Estonia in 2012 under the food aid plan, writes LETA/Äripäev.ee.

In total, 113 million euros will be distributed to EU countries to help needy persons under the food aid plan this year, to be used next year.
“We consider this aid plan to be politically very necessary in future as well,” said the EU agriculture and rural development commissioner Dacian Ciolos. “The importance of the aid plan has been confirmed by numerous charity organisations and NGOs in the entire European Union,” added the commissioner.
