EUR 10 million invested in new production of Cesu alus

After investing EUR 10 million (approximately LVL 7,000,000), the joint-stock beer producer Cesu alus has introduced the most high-powered and modern can filling production line in the Baltic States, as informed company's head of public relations Agita Baltbarde.

Introduction of the new production line is one of the biggest one-time investments of the industry in Latvia in 2008. It will create several work places in the region and will significantly improve company's export potential, as well as overall production capacity and will give the company the opportunity to supply a competitive and innovative range of products for the Latvian market, writes LETA.

 

Opening reception of Cesu alus new production unit will take place on Wednesday, July 30, in Cesu alus brewery. Company's board chairwoman Eva Sietinsone-Zatlere, Economy Minister Kaspars Gerhards (For Fatherland and Freedom/LNNK) and Cesis Mayor Gints Skenders will be present at the opening events, as well as head of Cesu alus production and technical department Maris Strazds.

 

As reported, turnover for Cesu alus grew 42% last year, reaching LVL 23.8 million, in 2007 the enterprise earned LVL 865,000 in profit.
