Last year’s “winner”, major owner of construction company Merko, Toomas Annus, is on the second position and the newspaper evaluates his wealth at 2.29 billion kroons. He has been the winner of Äripäev’s top of the rich in four years.

The third place in the list goes to railway cargo transport businessman Oleg Ossinovski with 1.83 bln kroons, informs LETA.

Major owner of shipping company Tallink Grupp and AS Infortar Enn Pant is fourth with 1.74 bln kroons.

Real estate businessman Margus Reinsalu, who mostly operates in Morocco and Brazil, is fifth with an estimated property of 1.56 bln kroons.

The top ten includes also Tallink Grupp major owner Ain Hanschmidt (1.51 bln), shareholder of Viru Keemia Grupp Priit Piilmann (1.5 bln), former tax board chief, Tallink’s shareholder Kalev Järevelill (1.47 mld), BLRT’s second-largest shareholder Valeri Kovalenko (1.46 mld) and real estate businessman Toonart Rääsk (1.28 bln kroons).

Äripäev bases its estimations on book value of companies plus five-time average profit of 2008-2009 and revises the results on the basis of a number of other factors.
