Belarus PM wants to establish joint ventures in Riga

Print versionVisiting Belarusian Prime Minister Sergei Sidorsky, at a meeting with Riga Mayor Nils Usakovs yesterday, declared that it would be advantageous for Belarus to establish joint ventures in Riga.

Sidorsky expressed specific interest in cooperation with the Riga Railcar Factory, as well as joint manufacturing of trolley-buses. He underlined that Belarus wants to establish joint ventures in Riga, writes LETA.
Mayor Usakovs informed the premier about the advantages that Riga Freeport offers, advocating greater volumes of cargo from Belarus through it. Sidorsky acknowledged that transit through Riga is convenient.
Both officials also discussed the completed reconstruction of the Riga Belarusian School.
Today at 9 a.m. the prime minister will participate in the 11th Baltic Economic Forum.
