Turnover of Metsaliitto Latvia decreases 2.5 times; profit increases by 50% in 2009

Turnover of the forestry company Metsaliitto Latvia decreased 2.5 times in 2009, but the company's profit has increased by 50%, as data from the Register of Enterprises' company Lursoft reveals.

The company's turnover reached LVL 55.37 million in 2008, but in 2009 – LVL 22.365 million. However, the company's profit reached LVL 460,613 in 2008, and LVL 690,744 in 2009.

 

Turnover of Metsaliitto Latvia reached LVL 59.49 million in 2007, but profit was LVL 351,036.

 

In September 2001, Finnish forestry company Metsaliitto bought Thomesto OY, which together with private persons from Latvia had founded the Latvian-Finnish joint venture Silva Ltd.. Since the end of 2001, Silva has became the concern's representative in Latvia.

 

The Latvian-Finnish joint venture Silva changed its name to Metsaliitto Latvia at the end of 2005.
