The new line is aimed for a capacity of up to 150,000 tons per year, the improvement displays the latest technology and long-term experience in the best way. Informs LETA/ELTA.
The main equipment suppliers for the project were "Ekobana", which won the tender to supply the process equipment and "Montuotojas", which installed and manufactured the equipment according to Lifosa demands. Most of the equipment supplies originated from Germany and other EU countries. These manufacturers were chosen based on their experience and references as against the manufacturers of special equipment.
Specific equipment and process automation have been developed by "Lifosa" experts, the people with extensive experience in manufacturing.
In a framework of the project, a spacious product warehouse has been also equipped for Lifosa needs. Its area totals 4,000 square meters. It has been provided with special separate gates to transport feed phosphates both by trucks and by rail, packed in 25 kg or in one ton big bags and the bulk product. The warehouse is equipped with packing equipment, the capacity of which is following: bags of one ton – 50 t/h, and 25 kg – 25 t / h.
Great attention was paid to product quality during the design and process equipment supply procedure. The production line is equipped with automatic analyzers and sampling devices for feed phosphate granules. Detailed information about the quality of the product is directly transmitted to the operator, who manages the production process. Similar equipment are installed in the product warehouse and in handling area.
along with the implementation of this project, Lifosa took another step in environmental protection. The new workshop has been equipped with effective dedusting and absorption equipment; therefore, the process dust do not enter the environment.
The working conditions have been improved: the whole production process is automated, the operators work in spacious control rooms. The number of employees was not reduced. The employees enjoy modern and well equipped dining and recreation areas, as Lifosa representatives state.
For implementation of the project with value of more than 50 million, 13,712,135 litas have been allocated from the European Regional Development Fund.
Lifosa has started feed phosphate production in 2001. The company is producing Monocalcium Phosphate. In 2009, Lifosa produced 42,500 tons.
