In his speech Kubilius noted that it was the first joint investment of Belarus, Lithuania and Finland.

"I congratulate the Lithuanian and Finnish businessmen, business pioneers, who addressed the challenges and opportunities provided by the Belarusian market. The success of this joint project might become an important impulse on new Scandinavian investment in the East. Lithuania is a reliable bridge for the expansion of the capital of the Nordic countries to the neighbouring countries," the head of Lithuania's Government said.

The representatives of Belarus emphasised that this investment project was direct evidence of the actual development of economic ties between the neighbouring countries. According to them, Lithuanian businessmen's knowledge and experience were not only widely recognised, but they could also be exported successfully, writes LETA/ELTA.
