Seven Latvian advertising agencies take prizes at "Golden Hammer" festival

Seven Latvian advertising agencies walked away with prizes at the 11th international advertising festival "Golden Hammer". Altogether, Latvian agencies were given a score of 136 points this year and placed third among other nations, with the second place going to Ukraine (216 points) and the first to Russia (360 points), the organizers of the festival informed the business portal Nozare.lv.

The following Latvian agencies were awarded at the festival: Inspired Communications, Media House, DDB Worldwide Latvia, Cube-Media, Digibrand, McCann-Erickson Riga and Adell Saatchi&Saatchi, writes LETA.

 

This year, Latvian advertising agencies presented a total of 63 works in the festival. One of these, the campaign "Don't Throw Away The Money In A Pit" from the agency Inspired Communications was awarded a diploma, another campaign – "Let's Encourage Us Together!" from Media House – took a "Silver Hammer", and one – Tele2 tariff plan "Meteorite" campaign – a "Golden Hammer".

 

In the category of interactive advertisements, "Raitis Reverss/Running Backwards Viral Video" from DDB Worldwide Latvia was awarded a diploma, and Latvian companies also took two "Silver Hammers" – Cube-Media for its "airBaltic Christmas Greeting" campaign and Digibrand for its "Madara Drinks Web Game" campaign.

 

In the nomination of creative advertisements, Latvian companies were awarded two diplomas (McCann-Erickson Riga campaign "The Witch 3 and OMD Latvia campaign "Merrild Coffee Cup Wall"), two "Silver Hammers" (Adell Saatchi&Saatchi campaign "The Eagle-Eyed Johnny" and McCann-Erickson Riga campaign "Medication Against Boredom"), and Inspired Communications campaign for the introduction of the Tele2 tariff plan "Meteorite" in Latvia was awarded the "Golden Hammer".

 

This year, advertising agencies from 25 countries participated in the festival, garnering two "Grand Prix" awards, 16 "Golden Hammers", 42 "Silver Hammer" awards and 108 diplomas.

 

The "Creativity Case" award went to Romania's Ogilvy&Mather Advertising, the "Media Folder" award – top Russia's Leo Burnett, and the "Access Key" award – to Kinograf from Ukraine.
