Turnover of Spilva reduced by 17.6% in 2009

Food and sauce producer Spilva operated with LVL 11.4 million turnover last year, which is a reduction of 17.6% when compared to 2008, according to the Register of Enterprise's Lursoft data. In 2008, the company posted LVL 13.83 million in turnover.

The company's profit has also seen a substantial reduction. In 2008, Spilva posted LVL 695,920 in profit, but in 2009 – LVL 250,196, writes LETA.
Spilva is one of the leading fruit and vegetable processing companies in the Baltic countries; its products are exported to both the West and the East.
The company produces tomato sauces and ketchups, mayonnaises, dressings, canned vegetables, jams, desserts, mustard, natural juices, soups and various other products.
