In a situation where long-distance gambling licence in Estonia has only been issued to the Olympic casino, Estonian Tax and Customs Board will start restricting access to foreign net casinos and poker rooms that don’t correspond to the conditions of the new Estonian gambling law, LETA/Postimees Online reports.

The tax administrator has ascertained nearly 200 long-distance gambling web pages, use of which from Estonia isn’t in line with the new gambling law.

The board said that it cannot be guaranteed that the winnings from these web sites are paid andd that blocking the web sites may result in the sums on the virtual accounts of gamblers disappearing.

Internet connection providers are obliged to block the access to the domain names that Tax and Customs Board prescribes.

The new gambling law game in force on January 1 and since then, the tax administrator has issued one organising permit of long-distance gambling.
