Kampars visits India and takes part in seminar on business opportunities in Latvia

Latvia’s Economy Minister Artis Kampars (New Era) is heading a delegation in India, and a seminar on business opportunities in Latvia was held in Mumbai yesterday. The seminar was organized by the Latvian Investment and Development Agency (LIDA).

About 40 representatives from Indian companies had taken part, as the Economy Ministry informed "Nozare.lv". Some of the sectors represented were banking, IT, manufacturing, infrastructure and logistics and pharmaceuticals, writes LETA.

 

Kampars, in addressing the Indian and Latvian business-persons, declared that Latvia is open to "deep and diverse" cooperation with India.

 

Accompanying the minister in India are the LIDA's head Andris Ozols and CEOs from 10 companies.

 

New Delhi is next on the agenda for the delegation, and Kampars is scheduled to hold talks there with Indian Trade and Industry Minister Anand Sharma.
