Sweden's Trelleborg to double capacity in Estonia in 2010

The company will complete its new production building on the island of Saaremaa in March that will cost about 100 million kroons and hire about 70 people.
"While at present we have 3,200 square metres of production space, it will increase by 2,100 square metres by end of March," said CEO Kalver Kirs to local newspaper. "We have now 84 employees, but expect to employ 150 by the end of 2010."
The company has said that its long-term objective is to employ 300 in Kuressaare because if has been closing several plants in Sweden including in Sjöbo, Hemse, Örebro and Forsheda.
Trelleborg Industrial Products Estonia manufactures industrial components for the automotive industry and supplies companies like Saab, Volvo, Husquarna, Iff, Flygt.
Trelleborg is listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
