Lithuanian brand GP jeans wins Baltic Fashion Awards 2009

Lithuanian clothing designers Giedrius Paulauskas and Aiste Krasuckaite have won the "Baltic Fashion Awards 2009" for their designs under the brand of GP Jeans, their clothing line "Them" was awarded in the category for the best collection for men, Alfa.lt/LETA reported.

The Lithuanian designers competed against 130 other participants to win the award.

 

After announcing the award, the designers rejoiced about their invitation to take part in Berlin Fashion Week coming January.

 

"We feel really great, as it's always better to win than to lose, right? Even making it to these awards was already a winning situation," Paulauskas said.

 

"It's really hard to get to take part to the Berlin Fashion Week, and it's expensive. And we are invited – that's just wonderful," Krasuckaite said.

 

Taking part in "Baltic Fashion Awards 2009" was one of the first designers' performances abroad, even though they have already been in the Lithuanian designing industry for five years. Both designers said there was a certain time for a show up in foreign waters.
