The animated film has also approached the status of the most-watched Hollywood film in Latvia. 126,722 spectators had seen the animated film "Ice Age 3" in cinemas by September 13, according to Forum Cinemas data.

The animated film has been dubbed in Latvian and in Russian; it can also be viewed in the original language English, with subtitles in Latvian and Russian. The film can also be viewed in 3D format.

So far this year "Angels and Demons" has been the second most viewed film in Latvia; "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" has placed third regarding popularity.

In 2008 the most viewed Hollywood films in Latvia were "Journey to the Center of Earth 3D" watched by an audience of 75,834, "Sex and the City" watched by 75,067 spectators and "Quantum of Solace" with 65,104 spectators in cinemas in Latvia.

In 2008 "Forum Cinemas" earned a profit of LVL 1,996,943 or 2.3% less than a year earlier, when the profit reached LVL 2,043,965, according to the Registry of Enterprises' Lursoft data base. Last year the company turned over LVL 8,994,564 or 8.9% more than in 2007, when the turnover figure stood at LVL 8,210,442.

Amolins explained that in 2008 the company's profits shrank due to large investments, for example, in technologies that now allow to offer three-dimensional films at "Forum Cinemas".
