LETA was unable to reach Cas Editor in Chief Ksenija Zagorska, or the two newspapers' publishers.

Fasta had told Baltkom Radio that the agreement on the merger has already been signed and that editorials in tomorrow's issues will be featured with the agreement's text.

Sources tell LETA that staff at both papers were informed today about the merger, and that it will actually occur at the beginning of August.

Both publishers Valery Belokon and Aleksej Sejnin of Telegraf and Cas conformed, that the dailies will be merged.
