"Latvijas Gaze" will start to cut off gas supply for debtors

Print versionThe Joint-stock natural gas distributor "Latvijas gaze" will start from this month the cutting off gas supply for debtors that have arrears built up and have not used the opportunity to agree on repayment of the debt, as the company informed "NASDAQ OMX Riga", writes LETA.

The total debt of the households has reached LVL 4.6 million, and total number of debtors exceeds 113,000.
Latvijas Gaze has no choice but disconnect the debtors because their debts may increase even faster once the heating season commences, which in turn may create problems for the company to settle payments to gas suppliers, which will cause adverse effects on the other gas users.
