Estonia's Pipedrive breaks into profit for 1st time

Pipedrive, a customer relationship management (CRM) software provider of Estonian origin, in 2019 increased its revenue one and a half times to approximately 50 mln euros and reached a profit for the first time, ending the year 2.4 mln euros on the positive side, wrties LETA/BNS.

 

In 2019, Pipedrive mainly invested in product development. At the end of the year, Pipedrive's Tallinn and Tartu offices had a total of 391 employees, which is one-fifth more than a year earlier. The company's salary expense, including social tax, amounted to approximately 20 mln euros, Pipedrive said.

 

According to the annual report, Pipedrive focused on expanding its customer base in 2019, aiming to increase the average turnover of the customer and increase market share, especially among larger companies. To this end, Pipedrive launched four new packages.

 

In the second half of the year, Pipedrive introduced a sales assistant based on artificial intelligence and continued to develop new product solutions to automate users' work processes.

 

The company continued to focus on building integrations between third-party software and the Pipedrive product. In the summer, the group opened new offices in Dublin and Florida, U.S., and signed a preliminary agreement to establish a new office in Tartu.

 

In the coming months, the company also plans to open an office in Germany.

 

Founded by Estonians Timo Rein, Urmas Purde, Ragnar Sass, Martin Henk and Martin Tajur in 2010, Pipedrive is a CRM platform developed from the salesperson's point of view. Today, Pipedrive's sales tools are used by more than 90,000 companies in more than 150 countries.

 

Pipedrive has offices in Tallinn, Tartu, London, Lisbon, Prague, Riga, Dublin, New York and St. Petersburg, Florida.
