Aseri brick factory Wienerberger re-launched production operations

The factory will, however, suspend production of roof tiles for at least six months – this will mean that 39 employees will lose their jobs.
“The brick stocks have been exhausted in the storage facilities,” explained member of the management board of AS Wienerberger Raivo Vasnu, when talking about the need to re-launch production. He added that it seems that the lowest point on the market seems to be over and admitted that the decline on the Estonian market in demand for bricks has not been so noticeable, while the Latvian, Lithuanian as well as Russian markets were in a very bad state.
AS Wienerberger exported most of its production output in 2008 to Russia, Lithuania and Poland. The company’s sales revenue last year amounted to a little more than 218.1 million kroons, 74.5% of which was attributed to exports.
