BC, Vilnius, 05.07.2017.Print version
2016 closure of the Coca-Cola factory in Alytus, southern Lithuania, caused losses in the operations of Coca-Cola HBC Lietuva, the subsidiary of the biggest producer of non-alcoholic beverages worldwide, informs LETA/BNS.

Coca-Cola HBC Lietuva last year incurred 1.75 million euros in net losses after netting 2.667 million euros in profit in 2015, the company said in a report submitted to the Center of Registers.

According to the annual report, the change was due to the closure of the factory in Alytus – production was moved to the city of Radzymin close to the Polish capital Warsaw.

Coca-Cola HBC Lietuva's 2016 revenue stood at 48.585 million euros, a decline by 5.9%, from 51.607 million euros, year-on-year. Production in Alytus was started in 1994 and expanded in 2010 after closure of the factory in Estonia.
