Patrikainen will also be taking over the duties of the head of ABB Baltics. "After 25 years as the head of the company's Baltic unit, it seems like the right time to hand over the baton and dedicate more time to personal life. Despite the change in leadership we will continue with the implementation of our new strategy," Henriksson said.

Patrikainen started working at ABB in 1997 in Finland, where he was responsible for the management and operative work in the sales and service department. In 2013, he started work as Baltic countries' service manager. In 2015, Patrikainen was made country service manager and domestic sales manager in the Baltics. He has a degree in energetics from Kotka University.

The turnover of the ABB group's Estonian unit rose 18% to 183 mln euros in 2016 and the company's operating profit was 14 mln euros. ABB operates in Estonia as of 1992.
