Milk purchase prices up in Lithuania in July m/m

Amid continuing effects of the global dairy crisis on the Lithuanian dairy market, milk purchasing prices saw a modest increase in July after a long break, as compared month-on-month, reports LETA/BNS.
The average purchasing price was 169.3 euros per ton in Lithuania in July, up by 0.7% from June but down by 15.2% from last July, show figures published by the Agriculture Ministry on Friday.
A total of 141,700 tons of milk were purchased in July, which indicates a decline by 4.1% year-on-year. The purchase of milk dropped by 0.9% to 807,600 tons in the January-July period year-on-year.
