Russia's crisis forces Kauno Baltija to change partners

Print versionTens of brands have exited Russia in the past two years and several Lithuanian garment makers have rushed to replace their old partners with new ones amid a fall in orders, the business daily Verslo Zinios reported on February 2nd, cites LETA/BNS.

Vidas Butkus, CEO of Kauno Baltija, says that the Lithuanian clothing production company has also been indirectly affected by the situation in Russia in the past couple of years.
"The last two years were difficult. Our key customers, which accounted for around 90% of all orders, experienced a significant decline, which has affected us too," he said.
In an effort to compensate for falling orders, Kauno Baltija last year focused on the search for new customers and says that the difficult period is now over.
