Anvar Samost will start working as the manager of Baltic News Service (BNS) companies group BNS Group OÜ from 1st of April 2015 and thus will withdraw from participation in politics, LETA/Public Broadcasting reports.

Former BNS Group board chairman Sven Nuutmann will continue in the board of BNS owner company UP Invest.

"BNS is once again in the ownership of an owner with a strategic view and I have a clear plan on how to proceed from here," said Anvar Samost.

Samost has worked in BNS in 1995-2011, including as the group's manager in 2006-2011. In 2011-2013, Anvar Samost was the executive editor-in-chief of Postimees daily and then he went into politics. When starting in the new job, Samost ends participation in politics.

Samost was a candidate for Riigikogu in the latest elections in the Pro Patria and Res Publica Union list in Ida-Virumaa County, collecting 761 votes, and was not elected to the parliament. Samost has by now resigned from Pro Patria and Res Publica Union.
