This is the biggest slot machine jackpot ever won in Latvia, as Olympic Casino Latvia marketing manager Andrejs Jerkins told LETA.

"The lucky winner of the "Olympic Mystery Jackpot" is the 33-year-old Igor Kharlamov, a citizen of the Russian Federation, popular for his part in multiple Russian stand-up shows," said Jerkins.

Kharlamov told Olympic Casino Latvia representatives that he was visiting Latvia on business and had come to the casino to kill some time.

When told that he had won the biggest jackpot in Latvia ever, the lucky winner replied, "You may be surprised, but this is the biggest jackpot in my life too!" He said that now he would be able to repay a mortgage on his home.

Olympic Casino Latvia posted EUR 12.38 million in profit in 2013, which is 11.31 percent more than in 2012. The company's turnover in 2013 amounted to EUR 34.2 million – 11 percent increase on 2012.
