Most active MEP from Latvia in EP debates – Mirskis

The most active European Parliament member in debates from Latvia is Aleksandrs Mirskis (Alternative), who has taken the podium 1,283 times during plenary sessions, according to statistics gathered by the organization VoteWatch, cites LETA.

Meanwhile, MEP Ivars Godmanis has spoken at the podium in the EP only 11 times.
MEP Krisjanis Karins (Unity) has addressed the EP 131 time, Inese Vaidere (Unity) – 110 time, Sandra Kalniete (Unity) – 90 times, Roberts Zile (VL-TB/LNNK) – 66 times, Tatjana Zdanoka (Latvian Union of Russians) – 52 times, Alfreds Rubiks (Latvian Socialist Party) – 30, but Karlis Sadurskis (Unity) – 28 times.
Meanwhile, Vaidere was the most active amongst Latvian MEPs in signing various resolutions – 53 times, while Karins was most active in submitting amendments to EP proposals – 239.
