Elina Egle officially terminates contract with President's Chancery in Latvia

Egle notes that she will continue to work in the private sector as the CEO of the Baltic Id company, writes LETA.
Egle says in the statement that, unfortunately, her health condition prevented her from officially terminating her contract with the President's Chancery sooner. Egle also notes that she has not been paid while she was off on sick leave.
Egle writes that she is pleased with what she has achieved while working at the President's Chancery.
Proposals have been drafter for policy shapers regarding the attraction of investment to Latvia and the creation of new jobs. External economic cooperation has become more active, business promotion measures have been organized as part of state visits in cooperation with the Economy Ministry and the Latvian Investment and Development Agency, cooperation with other countries' diplomats and officials has been fostered, informs Egle.
As the president's advisor, Egle offered unbiased analytical advice, and provided the president with information about current affairs in Latvia's national economy regarding, for instance, management of state-owned companies, establishment of a Baltic innovations fund, port management matters, reforms planned by the Education and Science Ministry and the Ministry of Regional Development and Environmental Protection.
Egle, in collaboration with representatives from the relevant sectors, offered solutions regarding road maintenance and public transport. In the statement, Egle thanks cooperation partners at local governments, companies, associations, education and scientific institutions about their joint work in the past, and thanks the president for his recommendation.
Egle informs that she will continue work on improving the business environment in Latvia, making resource management more efficient, and reducing excessive bureaucracy. Egle will also continue her academic work in the Latvian Association of Political Scientists, panel of advisor at the business school "Turiba", editorial offices of magazine "Kapitals", and collaboration with the Latvian Employers' Confederation.
According to Firmas.lv data, Baltic Id was registered in 2006 and fully belongs to Egle. The company offers business and management consulting services; the company's turnover in 2011 amounted to LVL 19,500 and profit to LVL 12,517.
Egle was on sick leave from June 6. On June 13, President's Chancery released a statement informing about the president's decision to terminate employment relationship with Egle. Therefore Egle no longer represented the president when expressing official opinions or participating in public events, pointed out the President's Chancery.
