Corruption Prevention Bureau conducts procedural actions in office of For Latvia From The Heart party

The party’s lawmakers today were informed about KNAB’s activities, lawmaker Silvija Simfa told LETA.
As reported, Sudraba said earlier today that she has no information about relations or cooperation between Jurmala Mayor Gatis Truksnis (Greens/Farmers) and millionaire Julijs Krumins who both have been detained on suspicion of party financing violations.
LETA also reported that the KNAB has started a criminal process for possible illegal large-scale political party financing, and four people have so far been detained as part of this criminal process. In the interests of the investigation, the KNAB is not releasing any additional information at the moment, the corruption watchdog said.
It has also been reported earlier that Krumins’ daughter Maija Cernavska has made a considerable donation to the party.
