Inese Kalvane to stay on as head of Latvian Employment Agency

Print versionInese Kalvane, Director of the State Employment Agency, has decided to stay on despite submitting her resignation earlier this week, the Welfare Ministry informed LETA.

During a meeting with Welfare Minister Uldis Augulis (Greens/Farmers) today, the two sides agreed that Kalvane will stay on as the director of the SEA.
The minister highly values Kalvane's work and her professionalism, and is happy that she has decided to stay on.
As reported, Kalvane had submitted her resignation earlier this week, according to the LNT television.
No further comment was provided on the matter, however, previous reports indicate that the State Employment Agency's employees had voiced dissatisfaction with unfair pay. They turned to top state officials requesting solutions to unequal salaries.
Kalvane became the Employment Agency's director in 2012.
