Print versionThe new McDonald’s fast-food restaurant was unveiled on Brivibas Boulevard 1 in Jelgava (central Latvia) today.

McDonald’s Baltic public relations consultant Egita Malina informed LETA that the company continues to expand its operations in the Latvian regions, as this is already the second McDonald’s restaurant opened outside of Riga.
Special coupons were also handed out to Jelgava residents today.
McDonald’s has invested EUR 1.4 million in the new restaurant in Jelgava. The company has also created 45 new jobs in Jelgava residents. This is the second McDonald’s outside Riga. The first regional restaurant was opened in Daugavpils at the end of 2011.
The Jelgava McDonald’s is located next to a "Statoil" filling station and is the first 24-hour restaurant in the city.
