The Estonian Cryptocurrency Association founded

Yesterday, on 5th November 2014. 33 legal entities and individuals announced founding of the Estonian Cryptocurrency Association with main goals to develop the field of cryptocurrencies in Estonia.

They will participate in the process of drawing up legislation support the wider use of cryptocurrency technologies, raise awareness about cryptocurrencies and also co-operate with individuals, legal persons governed by public law and by private law both internationally and locally. 

 

The Estonian Cryptocurrency Association’s aim is to act as a charitable organization working in the public interest to further the field of cryptocurrencies in Estonia, including:

 

- Supporting the adoption and understanding of cryptocurrencies in the fields of taxation and law, also taking part in the process of drawing up legislation.

- Promoting and supporting the wider use and development of cryptocurrencies.

- Necessary marketing and educational information to increase awareness of cryptocurrencies in Estonia.

- Performing a wide-ranging cooperation with both public and private entities and individuals.

- Developing international information exchange and collaboration.

- Developing and maintaining a strong and active membership.

 

The management board of the Estonian Cryptocurrency Association includes Asse Sauga, Liina Laas, Priit Lätt, Joonas Trussmann and Erki Koldits, the Association has 33 founding members, including 10 legal entities and 23 individuals. The membership fee is 0.5 Bitcoin, also euros are accepted with the current market price at the time of payment.
