Turnover of retail trade and catering enterprises in Lithuania grew by 7.5% in July

Over the month, the turnover of enterprises trading in food products increased by 7.3, of those engaged in retail trade in automotive fuels – 6.3, of those engaged in trading in non-food products – 8.3% at constant prices. The largest increase in turnover was observed in retail sale of clothing (22.6%), telecommunication equipment (17.8%) in specialised stores.
In July 2014, against July 2013, the turnover (VAT excluded) of retail trade enterprises increased by 4.1% at constant prices (working day adjusted – 4.1%). The turnover of enterprises trading in food products increased by 1.8, of those engaged in retail trade in automotive fuels – 4.8, of those engaged in retail trade in non-food products – 6.3% at constant prices. The largest increase in turnover was observed in retail sale of furniture, lighting equipment and other household articles (46%) in specialised stores, and retail sale via mail order houses or via the Internet (31.5%).
In July 2014, the turnover (VAT excluded) of food and beverage service enterprises amounted to LTL 154.1 million and, against June, increased by 12.2% at constant prices. Compared to July 2013, the turnover of enterprises engaged in the said activities grew by 5.2% at constant prices.
