In July Estonian Air operated 967 flights, an increase of 12.1%.
“During the last two months, the number of passengers has shown an upward trend that has been influenced by high demand for our summer destinations, increased number of flights and good performance of charter flights,” says Indrek Randveer, the CCO of Estonian Air.
“Our summer destinations have been very well received by the customers. In July we experienced better development than expected on our Nice, Paris, Berlin, Brussels, Moscow and Trondheim routes. At the same time passenger volumes on Kiev route continued to decrease due to the uncertain situation in Ukraine,“ added Randveer.
In the first seven months Estonian Air carried altogether 314,626 passengers, a decrease of 3.5% compared to 2013. In the same period, Estonian Air operated 6,225 flights, which is 4% less compared to the same period last year.
Estonian Air, Estonia’s national carrier, is the biggest operator at Tallinn Airport. The airline flies regular routes to Stockholm, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Brussels, Oslo, Moscow, Munich, St Petersburg, Kiev, Vilnius and Trondheim. In addition, from May to September, Estonian Air flies to Nice and Split, from June to August to Paris and from June to the end of October to Berlin. From December 2014 to March 2015, Estonian Air will add seasonal flights to Munich.
