Latvian Laci to start producing chocolates

Print versionBaked goods producer Laci will now also produce chocolates, seeing good prospects for the new business activity in both Latvia and foreign markets, the company's owner Normunds Skaugis told reporters yesterday, informs LETA/Nozare.lv.

"Considering the expansion of the company's products in the future, we decided to start production of chocolates. We will make four types of chocolate selections with various fillings," said Skaugis.
Skaugis did not reveal the amount of investment in the new product line, but said that the new products would land in stores already in the coming months.
"This is just the beginning. We will also place emphasis on chocolates in the coming years on both local and export markets," said Skaugis.
He added that the company would introduce other new products this year, and that the company's total turnover this year was estimated to reach LVL 4.9 million – up from LVL 4.61 million last year.
