Michael Grimme, Chief Commercial Officer of airBaltic: “Our customer is at the centre of this innovative service. Now travellers are fully in control when selecting their preferred meal items onto their virtual airline tray and creating their own inflight meal. We are delighted to take a lead among other airlines by introducing fully customised meals based on travellers’ preference, dietary, medical, religious considerations.”
Passengers can choose from a variety of more than 70 pre order meal options onto their virtual tray, including vegetable risotto, fish souvlaki, teriyaki salmon, grilled pork or chicken breast, served with one of nine salads and one of nine types of dessert, and a drink of choice. airBaltic customers can now order their inflight meal immediately upon completing their flight booking, or any other time no later than 48 hours before departure.
airBaltic serves 60 destinations from its home base in Riga, Latvia. airBaltic offers convenient connections via North Hub Riga to its network spanning Europe, Scandinavia, Russia, CIS and the Middle East. For summer 2013, airBaltic has introduced six new destinations – Prague (Czech Republic), Heviz-Balaton (Hungary), Olbia (Sardinia, Italy), Rijeka (Croatia), Larnaca (Cyprus), and Malta.
